Life drawing class in Broomhall centre, Sheffield

On Aug. 20th. I carried on my exercise of the structure of the human body in the life drawing class in the Broomhall centre, Sheffield.

I supposed to practice more torsos from this class but I can’t help drawing what I can see.

Five – 2 minutes drawing. Conte sticks on white paper.

For the fig. 1 the right thigh is completely wrong.  I couldn’t stop to laugh at it.

Three – 5 minutes drawing. Conte sticks on white paper.

Two – 10 minutes drawing. 4B & 6B pencils on white paper.

One – 20 minutes drawing. Charcoal on white paper.

Well, there was a mistake after this one and carried on to the next one. When I turned around of my sketchbook and lay down this paper on my thighs. Then most of the dust of charcoals stuck to on my trousers. Before I go home I have to spray some hairspray on this page. I can shade the darker area but I can’t do anything for the highlight. So I leave it is.

One – 30 minutes drawing. Charcoal on white paper.

I am quite happy with the final outcome even though some bits need to be refined like the ankle of her left foot, lower back, and right hand.
